The VCC is a legal entity designed to operate either as a stand-alone umbrella or with multiple underlying sub-funds and is flexible enough to cater to a wide range of strategies and structures.
A VCC is incorporated by the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (“ACRA”) and supervised by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (“MAS”) directly through the Securities and Futures Act (SFA) as pertaining to funds, and indirectly through regulatory oversight over fund management activities of the fund manager.
