SIP stands for Systematic Investment Plan where you can invest a fixed amount of units on a periodic basis of your choosing over a period of time. It is our version of Dollar-Cost Averaging, you can invest monthly into your ETFs. The frequency can be decided by you, whether it is weekly, or monthly. A lot of our clients are leaning towards SIP these days as timing the market in itself is a difficult discipline for any investor, as no one can predict what will happen tomorrow. At the end of a period, the investor would divide the total amount invested against the total number of units purchased to ride out the short term volatility.
How can I create a SIP?
You can select the ETFs/Kristal that you'd like to invest in and click on 'Invest' > 'Select Order Type' > 'SIP'.
The deduction will be deducted from the 'Available Cash' portion in your Kristal account. Hence, you will have to maintain sufficient funds for it to successfully go through!
